Review of Major Authority Activities in 2010
During fiscal year 2010, the Authority accomplished the following:
◊ Refinanced Series of 2044 and 2005 bond Issues.
◊ Completed replacement of VFD's, added electrical bypass, replaced ventilation system and stairwell in wetwell at Main Pump Station.
◊ Started a new program of inspecting sewer laterals prior to the sale of real estate in the Municipality of Murrysville.
◊ Added two new employees and equipment to do the above lateral inspections.
◊ Applied to DEP for a permit for Thermally Treated Sewage Sludge (Pasteurization of Sewage Sludge).
During the first nine months of 2010, approximately 13,278 feet of additional sewer lines were constructed in the following areas:
◊ Municipality of Murrysville - Shag Bark Plan, Murrysville Community Park and part of Bianc Rose Plan.
